Accepting: SPRING and SUMMER Clothing

Due to Covid-19 we have temporarily changed how we accept dropoffs.

No appointment necessary. Items must be dropped off in a bag with the account holder’s name inside the bag. We will quarantine it for up to to 48 hours before sorting through the items. It’s advised that you wash and pre-inspect your items carefully and check what season we are taking. Anything we don’t accept is automatically donated.
Fall & Winter = June – December
 Spring & Summer = January – May
Generally, we take items that are 3 years or newer, in great condition, freshly laundered, pressed, and stain free. We look at up to 20 items per drop off, no appointment necessary. We sort through your items in about 10 mins while you browse around the store.
Consignors make 40% commission. Your money will remain on your account for 6 months from the date an item is sold. Items are held in stock for 2 months. items not picked-up before their expiry date become the property of BoomerangKids-WellingtonWest (and are donated to local charities).

No matter the time of year, we are always taking in new stock. Just bring us your seasonal items, and as long as they pass our quality assurance checks, they’ll be on our floor and racks, ready to sell in no time!

Frequently Asked Question

Can I get cash for my items today?

We primarily work on consignment.

You get 40% of the tag price when the item sells.

Are you a consignment store? Or a buy-outright store?

Our store only work on consignment.

How can I get my money?

You can use your balance to buy items in store or cash out. A balance under $30 is paid in cash. A balance of $30 and over is paid via cheque.

How can I get my cheque?

We require at least 48 hours to prepare a cheque. The cheque can only be made out to a person who’s name is on the account. We check id before giving a cheque.

Are there drop-off limits?

In order to allow all of our consignors to sell their items more quickly, we have a limit of 20 clothing items, 10 toys and 10 equipment per drop-off.

When do you take fall and winter clothes? What about spring and summer?

We usually start taking fall and winter at the beginning of June, and we usually start taking spring and summer at the beginning of January.

Do you return items that you don’t take?

We sort on the spot in about 10 minutes while you browse in the store. We return items to you that we can’t take right away. If we discover wear and tear on an item after you’ve left – like a tear, missing button, stain or faulty zipper – then we donate them to charities.

Please note that covid has changed our regular process. We do not sort on the spot. We quarantine drop-offs up to 48hrs before sorting. Anything we do not accept, we donate automatically.

What brands do you take? And what don’t you take?

We take popular brands that sell, and that are no older than 4 years.

Sometimes it feels like you turn away perfectly good items. Why?

If we don’t accept a perfectly good item, it’s almost always because we don’t have the right market to sell the item in our store. There is also limited space in our store to sell items – so we prefer to choose items that we are sure will sell.

Can I return a resale item?

All sales are final.
